Celiac disease is an inflammatory condition of the colon,
a chronic condition that causes breakdown of the intestines
due to a gluten allergy. Gluten is a protein found in wheat
and other grains such as oats, barley and rye. This disease
requires avoiding gluten foods, but some supplements can
help as well.
For Starters, using some soothing mucilaginous herbs like
Slippery Elm and Marshmallow or the Intestinal Soothe and
Build Formula can remove irritation, reduce inflammation
and encourage tissue healing.
Food Enzymes can aid in the breakdown of foods and further reduce intestinal irritation.
Taking probiotics will also
improve general intestinal health.
Everybody's Fiber can soothe irritated intestinal tissue and
promote healing, but it is best to start very slowly, taking
small amounts and gradually increasing them as they can
be tolerated.
GastroHealth may also help to reduce inflammation and
speed healing of tissues.
Gentle Move may also be of beneflt.
Vitamin B 12 and magnesium supplements may also be
of benefit for people suffering from Celiac disease.
