Hiatal Hernia
also Ileocecal Valve
By Steven Horne, RH (AHG) & Kimberly Balas, ND
In a hiatal hernia the stomach pushes upward through
the opening in the diaphragm for the esophagus. This can
cause acid reflux, put stress and pressure on the heart, create poor digestive function and generally weaken the body.
See the instructions for correcting this in the video below. Mechanical
correction is needed, but the following remedies can help.
Therapies: Deep Breathing, Hiatal Hernia Correction
and Stress Management
Herbs: Blessed Thistle, Dandelion, Lobelia and Slippery Elm
Herbal Formulas: Anti-Gas Formula, Intestinal Soothe & Build, PLS II and Spleen Activator
Flower Essences: Find Strength
Ileocecal Valve
The ileocecal valve is the valve between the small intestine and the large intestine. This valve may become irritated
and inflamed and not shut properly. This causes a leakage of
material from the colon back into the small intestine which
weakens the body. It often causes serious gas and bloating.
Massage to the area helps.
To locate the ileocecal valve
draw an imaginary line from your navel (belly button) to
the right hip. The ileocecal valve is located about halfway
along that line. Massage the area in a clockwise motion to
close the valve (Watch the video below). The following can also help.
Herbs: Aloe Vera and Slippery Elm
Herbal Formulas: Intestinal Soothe & Build and Spleen
Activator
Nutraceuticals: Proactazyme
