Cold & Flu Suggested Actions

Natural healers have explained the link between the congested state of the body and contagious disease as follows: Harmful microbes feed on decaying organic matter. Thus, the accumulated waste in the system becomes a breeding ground for infectious organisms.
The analogy of flies and garbage piles has been used to illustrate this. Flies are attracted to piles of garbage. It's a breeding ground for them. So, if you have a problem with garbage piles, the answer isn’t killing the flies. If you spray the garbage with pesticides you’ll get rid of the flies temporarily, but the garbage remains and the flies will eventually return. If you clean up the garbage, the flies will be gone and won’t come back.

If this explanation is true (as many natural healers believe), we don’t get sick just because we are exposed to microbes. We get sick because the congested waste in the body becomes a breeding ground for them. Taking antibiotics or using disinfectants to kill the microbes doesn’t clean up this congestion and may add to the toxic condition of the body. Prevention 1. keep your internal environment clean 

When you detoxify your body by doing a cleanse before cold and flu season every year, you can keep your internal environment clean so you won't catch any colds. It also helps if you avoid junk food which is like filling your body with "garbage" that attracts the microbes like flies. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables helps to protect your system, too.

2. Build your Immunse System
When colds and flu are going around, you can boost your immune system by taking Elderberry D3fense or Ultimate Echinacea.
Children can take the chewable Elderberry Immune or Ultimate Echinacea.

3. If you catch a cold
Step a. Open the air passages and clear circulation and lymph
Lobelia Essence: 5 - 10 drops every 15-20 minutes
Add Capsicum liquid extract to lobelia each time you take it (5 drops)

Step b. Reduce Fever
IF-C tcm (1 capsule every 2 hours - not more)

Reduce sinus drainage (if sinus is an issue)
ALJ take 4 caps. every 2 hours.

If lung congestion is an issue
Garlic High Potency (1 tablet) and 4 capsules of ALJ


4. Opening the sweat glands

Draw a hot bath
Add 10 to 15 drops of one of the following essential oils (your choice):
Lavender, eucalyptus, thyme, rosemary.
Mix the oils with a little Essential Shield before adding them to the bath to make them disolve.
Add 3 tablespoons of sea salt (or Epsom salt).
Soak in the bath for 20 minutes (read a book... relax and keep the water hot).

Then... get up and go to bed. Pile blankets over yourself to make yourself sweat.
In 24 hours you will feel good!
