Remedies for the Male Reproductive System
Key Herbs
The following are key herbs for the male reproductive system. They act as hormonal for the male hormones, aphrodisiacs and tonics to the male reproductive organs.
Usage: This herb, used as a less expensive substitute for panax ginseng (American,
Chinese o Korean), has been found to have some adaptogenic properties
of its own. It not only helps the body cope better with stress, it increases
stamina and endurance, stimulates the brain to improve concentration and
stimulates male hormone production.
As a general tonic take 1-2 capsules 2-3x daily.
Comments: Russian researchers have found many positive benefits of this herb as a

Warnings:

Korean and American Ginseng
Usage: As a daily
tonic for strengthening sexual hormones, improving resistance and stamina,

For acute stress take 3-6 capsules per day.
For chronic weakness and immune deficiency, use 2-5 capsules per day.
Combines well with other sweet tonics, such as gotu kola, licorice, kelp,
etc.
Can be used by women as well as men.
Comments: Ginseng
is one of the most highly prized herbs in the world. The older roots are
considered more beneficial and may draw extremely high prices in the marketplace.
Warnings:
Has no toxic effects but is counterindicated in acute diseases, high fevers
or inflammation.
Damiana
Historical uses: Aphrodisiac, cough, estrogen-low, fatigue, female problems, frigidity,
hormonal imbalance, hot flashes, impotency, infertility, kidney diseases,
Lou Gehrig's disease, nerve-loss of, PMS, prostate-inflammation of, sex
Usage: As a sexual
stimulant use 2 capsules with 2 meals.
May either lower or raise blood pressure.
Comments: Damiana may work by irritating the urinary tract during elimination.
Warnings:
Not to be used when a person is emaciated, weak or experiencing inflammation.
Saw
Palmetto
Historical uses: Breasts-enlarged,
diabetes, glandular weakness, hormone imbalance, prostate problems, reproductive
organ weakness, throat troubles, thyroid-low, weight gain.
Usage: For prostate enlargement and urinary problems in men, 2 capsules with 3 meals.
Combines well with echinacea and many kidney herbs.
Comments: Known as the "old man's friend." A drug for treating prostate enlargement
has been extracted from this plant.
