Cardiac Arrest (Heart Attack)
By Steven Horne, RH (AHG) & Kimberly Balas, ND

A cardiac arrest or heart attack is caused by an acute episode of insufficient blood supply co the heart muscle often resulting in damage to the heart and possibly even death.

This lack of blood supply to the heart may be triggered by a blood clot or a muscle spasm constricting already partially blocked blood vessels.

When a person is having a heart attack, capsicum and lobelia extracts or powders placed under the tongue can help to support the heart and may save the person's life.
Massive doses of vitamin E (400 IU every 10-20 minutes) can also be helpful.

After a heart attack, high doses of Co-Q10 (100 milligrams or more) will aid repair of the damage.

Other supplements that may aid recovery from a heart attack include CardioAssurance, HS II, Hawthorn Berries and magnesium.

These nutrients can also be taken to help prevent heart disease.
