My dog takes it in his food and can't smell or taste it! Got this for my dog with liver problems, I tried it myself first and the taste has a strong bitterness to it. My dog doesn't take pills, he can smell the pills from miles away. I tried hiding it in cheese, chicken, smashing it to powder, putting the pill in his mouth and other things but no way he will take the pill. He has no problem with these drops. I put 8 drops in his homemade food and he can't smell it. He also takes milk thistle drops in food. I wish the bottle was clear so I can see how much is left and when I need to order again!! Gizmo

I wanted to try SAM-e for my moods so I purchased tablets first and they killed my stomach. Terrible gas pains, unbearable. I did my research and was excited to find SAM-e in this liquid form. I've been taking them for about 2 weeks now and I definitely feel it's helped with my moods and PMS. I'm not a big person (5', 100lbs) so I was nervous at first to do the 10 drops 2x a day after reading some of the reviews. I started slow with 10 drops 1x a day and I haven't experienced any bad side effects whatsoever so now I'm doing them 2x a day still with great results. I went to Lumina's website to read about the daily dosage of 72mg and it explains that the way it's delivered into your body (by the carrier) you're actually getting a 400mg dose. The taste is definitely bitter but not so bad that I can't take it. I put the 10 drops under my tongue, hold for about a minute, then swallow. The bitterness doesn't linger that long. I have tried multiple anti-depressants in the past over several years, and none have helped as much as this stuff. Since everyone is different, I can't say it will help you if you try it, but it is making a difference for me. Here are the things I have noticed the biggest change in. Mood, energy, and positive thoughts. Having had depression since a teenager and now in my 30's I am hyper-aware of my thoughts and moods a lot of the time to avoid sliding too far into depression. It has always been a battle though. I know, it's hard to imagine a chemical changing the way you think but it's true. My brain is always running on high. Going over past events, worrying about the future, just running non-stop. After 2 weeks of taking 8-10 drops each morning, I started to notice that instead of focusing on worrying. My mind would just start going over song lyrics. I've also noticed just an overall positive shift in my thoughts towards myself.
I will say the first couple days were rough due to nausea. However, the liquid form gave me the ability to reduce the dose down for a few days, and slowly increase it until my body adjusted. Now I feel no side-effects at all. If you suffer from GDD or other forms of depression this might be worth a shot. ND Florida

Highly recommend this liquid SAM-e over the pills. The pills require you to take them on an empty stomach one hour before or 2 hours after eating. Well, since I'm hypoglycemic I nibble a lot throughout the day and it's very difficult for me to find the perfect time to take the pill. So I was waking up at 4:00 am to take the pill and go back to sleep for 2 hours. That sucked because it totally disrupted my sleep causing me to be kinda cranky which totally defeats the purpose of the SAM-e. This liquid form is so easy to take, tastes really good, and I feel it working much quicker then the pill form. Highly recommend. Dee MN
